Wow, the older I get and the more I study philosophy and super/hyper sensory research, the more I see patterns and “coincidences” in my life!
So I was reading this article about the term “Perma-Circular Society” on the p2p Foundation website, and part of the discussion and establishment a definition of the term “Integral”, how it is used in the aforementioned article, the name Ken Wilber came up, and his definition of the word as it’s meaning used in the article.
For this post, Perma-Circular Society and the article itself are irrelevant, but necessary for me to tell you why I am writing this article.
So I looked at Ken Wilbur’s bio synopsis that Google presents when looking up a person, and was surprised by several data items:
- He was born in Oklahoma City
- Influenced by: Jean Gebser, Rudolf Steiner, Jürgen Habermas, Richard Tarnas, Erich Jantsch, Charles Taylor
- more to follow
So, there are two data items I want to highlight as of 2017.10.27:
In list item two, Rudolf Steiner is mentioned as being an influence. This has been the case for me, too, as I went to Waldorf School in German, and this is a chain of schools influenced by the teaching of Rudolf Steiner.
Then in list item one, he was born in Oklahoma City (OKC for short). Although I don’t live in OKC itself, I live in Moore, which is part of the greater OKC Metroplex, which includes Bethany, Del City, Edmond, Midwest City (MWC), Moore, Norman, and a few other municipalities.
I find this coincidence not so much that, but synchronicity.
Why would I study and read material that involves people that either have lived or currently live in the same locations as I have lived in the past or currently live in, and are influenced by the same or similar persons or information, or material?
These are all things that I notice when self educating myself.
I will probably follow up on this observation in the future, as well as adding more links to this post as I find time to cross link to other material I write.
